TRON’s TVM is a custom-built system for developers to build applications on top of the TRON blockchain, providing a secure and reliable platform for optimization. TVM is reportedly lightweight, as well as Turing complete.
According to the launch announcement, TRON community developers can now work on the TVM test version for the next month leading up to the August 30 complete mainnet upgrade.
TVM will be fully compatible with Ethereum, providing faster speed and lower costs; developers can easily develop DAPPs on TRON network using mainstream development tools, including Remix, Truffle, Web3.js and browser wallet plug-ins.’
TRON’s Justin Sun recently claimed that the project has achieved 12,000 transactions per second (TPS), far exceeding Ethereum’s current rate of 15 to 20. TRON recently surpassed the 1,000,000 block height and has reached a peak number of single day transaction of 49,518.
Sun also revealed today on Monday that the TRON protocol will likely be integrated directly into the file-sharing platform, BitTorrent, which was acquired by the TRON Foundation for more than $100 million. This project, dubbed ‘Project Atlas,’ is part of an effort by Sun to turn TRON into the top decentralized platform for content creators.
Currently, we are exploring the possibility of using the Tron protocol to improve the BitTorrent protocol, in order to make the BitTorrent protocol faster… I hope the integration of Tron and BitTorrent will allow both parties to work better as one in the future.
