Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange, has one of the longest-running referral programs in the industry and it’s paying significant dividends for certain users.

According to a recent tweet by the company, the top referrer on Binance earned 5.95 BTC last week, roughly equal to $50,000, without having to make any trades.

The second and third referrers on the “Rich List” earned 5.31 and 4.76 BTC, respectively, while the top-10 earned roughly 31.7 BTC ($262K). These numbers are made possible thanks to Binance’s referral program, which allows investors to earn up to 40% of the trading commissions from all referred users. The exchange also has a new affiliate program that is even more generous for larger influencers.

Meanwhile, Binance’s new platform for American investors, Binance.US, also has a referral program where investors can earn a $15 bonus for signing up on the new platform and trading $100. After November 1, the company notes that it will be switching to a similar setup as the main Binance platform where referrers earn a percentage of each trade commission.

Binance isn’t the only exchange pushing for new users through referral programs. Voyager, a crypto brokerage app with 28 cryptocurrencies, recently launched its Refer-a-Friend Program, which lets investors earn up to $2,500 for referring friends to the app. US and soon international investors can use this link (use code: SLUDGE25) to earn BTC on signup.
