Bitvo, a new cryptocurrency exchange based out of Calgary, has listed Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Ripple’s XRP (XRP) for trading on its platform this week.

According to the announcement, Bitvo will now allow its customers to buy both ETC and XRP with either Canadian dollars or Bitcoin.

Bitvo’s small-scale operation has big aspirations, as they aim to become the leading crypto exchange in Canada. In addition to ETC and XRP, Bitvo currently supports trading for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Dash.

“The addition of XRP and Ethereum Classic is in response to feedback we are receiving from our customers. We’re excited to add these to our offering. As we continue to listen to what our customers want, we will add additional cryptocurrencies as well as optimize the user experience on our platform,” said Pamela Draper, Bitvo’s President and CEO, in a statement accompanying the announcement.

XRP and ETC are currently valued at $18.3 billion and $1.01 billion, respectively, making them both top-15 coins in the AltDex 100 Index (ALT100), a benchmark index for large-cap cryptocurrencies and tokens.
