Cloud9’s North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS) team has entered into an apparel partnership with Puma for the upcoming LCS Spring Split.


According to the announcement, Puma will provide the team’s official apparel, including game-day pants and shoes. This marks the largest esports deal to date for PUMA and joins Cloud9’s LCS team with the likes of other elite organizations, including AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Scuderia Ferrari and Red Bull Racing.

“We can’t think of a better way to kick off 2019 than with this incredible apparel partnership with PUMA,” said Cloud9 CEO and owner Jack Etienne. “PUMA is recognized throughout the world, and having Cloud9 join PUMA’s roster of cultural phenomenon denotes an exciting new chapter for our organization. All of us are looking forward to what we’ll create with this partnership, and how good we’ll look while doing it.”

This news comes as other major sponsors are making their way into the upcoming LoL pro season. Most recently, Kia Motors announced it would be the official automotive sponsor of the inaugural League of Legends European Championship (LEC).

The 2019 competitive League of Legends season is set to kick-off across the globe in January, with the North America series (LCS) set to launch on January 26.
