According to the announcement, the general idea is that by using Coinbase Earn, users can learn about new digital assets and their utility, while also receiving a small sum of the asset to try it out.
To kickstart Coinbase Earn, which is currently invite-only, Coinbase has developed a 0x (ZRX) page that allows users to learn about the decentralized exchange protocol and its token.
If you’ve received an invite to Coinbase Earn by email, you can go to the Coinbase Earn ZRX page to earn small amounts of cryptocurrency by completing educational tasks like short video lessons and quizzes.
…If you haven’t received an invite yet, don’t worry — you can still view all educational content on the Coinbase Earn page for free, and can sign up on the waitlist to be notified as more educational tasks are available.
While not explicitly detailed in the announcement, Coinbase Earn is likely an extension of Earn.com, a crypto startup that allows users to monetize their email accounts, which Coinbase acquired for an undisclosed amount rumored to be north of $100 million.
