According to the announcement, users can now deposit KNC and trading for KNC/USD and KNC/BTC will go live at 9:00 pm (EST) if the exchange has enough liquidity by that time.
“This [listing] is important because Coinbase is one of the largest and most reputable crypto brands in the world and Kyber was the most used DeFi protocol in 2019 and a key player in the DeFi community,” the Kyber Network team said in an email to SludgeFeed. “This launch will help introduce Kyber to new audiences and experienced customers.”
Coinbase notes that KNC will be immediately available in all supported jurisdictions, with the exception of New York State and the United Kingdom. The altcoin will also likely be added to Coinbase.com in the next few weeks, based on past listings.
This is the second major announcement for Kyber Network in the past week. As we previously reported, Ethereum-based collectibles game Axie Infinity announced last week that it has teamed up with Kyber Network to host an exclusive NFT quest.
