Fans of the Tom Clancy video game franchise are no stranger to cinematic trailers that get the blood flowing.
This trend continued with the recent release of the first trailer for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
“Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a military shooter set in a diverse, hostile and mysterious open world that you can play entirely solo or in four-player co-op,” according to the official announcement. “Injured, without support, and hunted down by ex-Ghosts, you must fight to survive while lost in Auroa. Choose the right alliances and decide how to take down your toughest enemy.”
The game’s main baddie is notably voiced by Jon Bernthal, best known for his roles as Frank Castle in Netflix’s The Punisher and Shane Walsh in The Walking Dead. Based on the trailer, he leads a high-tech company bent on taking over the world.
The new title features an in-depth main campaign with numerous side missions and game types, in addition to competitive PvP multiplayer. Breakpoint will also reportedly feature four classes — with unique abilities — at release, with additional classes coming in future updates.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be released on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 4 — gamers can now pre-order the game for guaranteed access to the beta.
