European League of Legends Championship Series history was made on Saturday when G2 Esports defeated FNATIC in just over 20 minutes.
G2 Esports’ jungler Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski led the way with six eliminations and zero deaths, earning him the MVP title for the match. Altogether, G2 Esports finished the game with 15 kills and a whopping 14,000 gold lead.
Fnatic’s team struggled to grab eliminations, and only one player actually picked up a kill against G2. Jungler Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen finished the game with 4 eliminations.

Following the loss, Broxah took to Twitter to express his disappointment, saying, “It’s obvious that we still have many problems to solve. This game was an embarrassment.”

Through the first four weeks of competition, G2 Esports is running away with the league at 8-0, while Fnatic is near the bottom at 2-6. Next week, Fnatic will face off against Splyce and SK Gaming while G2 Esports will take on Misfits and Origen.
