With the pre-order announcement, HTC has released the full specs of the new phone. The Exodus 1 will boast a 6.0″ Quad HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, in addition to 6-megapixel dual rear cameras and 8-megapixel dual selfie cameras with a bokeh effect. It runs on Android and holds 6GB of DDR4x RAM.
As originally revealed in May, the Exodus is designed for smart contracts, exploring the blockchain and handling decentralized applications (dApps). It includes a native, universal wallet paired with APIs that may be connected to other wallets and the promise that data that is preserved on the phone itself.
HTC has explicitly stated that the Exodus will support multiple blockchain protocols, starting with Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC) and Ethereum (ETH). Charlie Lee, Litecoin’s creator, has also recently joined as an advisor to ensured that the upcoming device will support Litecoin and the Lightning Nightwork-powered transactions natively.
The Exodus will sell for 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH, which is equivalent to just over $960, and will ship sometime in December.
