According to screen grabs of the Instagram story, Kardashian West moved from staking thousands via normal poker chips to staking physical Bitcoin, which likely represented some form of cold wallet storage. It is unclear how much was staked, but one screen grab shows a larger chip with “One Bitcoin” as its label, likely representing roughly $8,000 USD.
This isn’t the first time a member of the Kardashian clan has stirred the crypto community. Kim’s husband and popular musical artist, Kanye West, made waves within Crypto Twitter back in April after his highly cryptic “decentralize” tweet. While it was never confirmed to be related to crypto, or coherent thought, the tweet was more than enough to attract attention.

The latest Instagram appearance represents one of the stronger mainstream advertisements for the cryptocurrency, as Kardashian West boasts more than 114 million devoted followers.
