Crypto Exchange KuCoin Launches Institutional Investor Program

KuCoin, a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange, announced Wednesday that it has launched a new institutional investor program designed to provide qualifying investors with significant trading fee discounts.

KuCoin qualifies institutional investors based on trading activity and any investor that actively conducts professional-level trading (quantitative, high-frequency, etc.) could be eligible for the program.

In order to qualify, investors must complete the KuCoin KYC verification process and fill out an application form found in the announcement. The discount provided to qualifying investors is between 20% to 80% and fluctuates with the lagging 30-day trading activity.

As KuCoin attempts to compete with the likes of Binance, it has actively rolled out a number of incentive programs to promote adoption. Just recently, the exchange boosted its daily bonus rewards for KuCoin Token (KCS) holders to 50% of all platform transaction fees. Additionally, KuCoin pays out daily GAS rewards for NEO balances held on the exchange.

KCS is currently ranked 5th in the AltDex Exchange Token Index (ALTEXC), a benchmark index for the industry’s leading exchange tokens.
