MintHealth is a new decentralized health platform that aims to place patients in control of their own health for the first time by rewarding good diet, exercise and medication adherence. With MintHealth, users are provided a support community and can set up and share their health data through mini-social networks with friends, family, physicians and insurance providers.
MintHealth’s platform also enables patients to share their data with hospitals and drug companies to support clinical trials.
According to the announcement, MintHealth has created a unique dual-token structure, comprised of Vidamints, digital incentives that reward patient behavior, and MintHealth Security Tokens (MHST), which will be created using Polymath’s Security Token Standard Protocol, ST-20.
Vidamints are essentially loyalty tokens that have a fixed price, which rewards patient behavior to increase returns for at-risk entities while also working to boost customer loyalty via a token redemption marketplace.
Incentive/Utility (Vidamints) tokens with a fixed price administered through the blockchain provides price stability and proof-of-health™ required by enterprise customers, leverages market movements towards security tokens as a vehicle for fundraising, and automates governance functions via the blockchain.
MHST’s will soon be available for trading on secondary markets and will be first listed on OpenFinance Network (OFN), a trading platform for tokenized securities. Since MHST’s are asset-backed securities, they are subject to security trading regulations and only qualified investors will be able to buy and sell them.
