According to the announcement, DLive’s platform addresses issues related to creative revenue share and other failed incentive systems that have caused other platforms to be seen as non-friendly to streamers.
DLive is built on top of the Lino blockchain, which is fueled by Lino tokens. The platform now has more than 3 million monthly active users and 35,000 active streamers. In his short time on the platform, Pewdiepie has already amassed over 93,000 subscribers.
“DLive is a place where instead of competing against each other, it benefits creators to support one another. With no platform cuts, we incentivize everyone to create the highest quality content for viewers,” said Lino Network co-founder Wilson Wei. “PewDiePie has always been a fierce advocate for the value that creators bring with their hard work, time, and effort, and he believes in DLive’s vision. Our live streaming platform has the potential to forever change how creators are represented in this industry, and we’re proud to have PewDiePie help us lead this charge.”
PewDiePie will begin streaming exclusively on DLive starting Sunday, April 14 at 1:00 PM (EDT) where he plans to donate up to $50,000 to a max of 100 creators on the platform.
