Andrew Yang, an American entrepreneur and founder of Venture for America, recently announced that his presidential campaign is now accepting cryptocurrency donations, including Bitcoin and anything on the ERC-20 standard.

According to the announcement, individuals interested in backing Yang may now send a maximum of $2,500 in cryptocurrency. In order to donate with crypto, backers must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder), and must pass a basic KYC provided in the submission portal.
According to his website, Yang’s platform is designed to “create an America of opportunity, freedom, equality, and abundance.” One of his largest focuses is bringing Universal Basic Income for all American adults, no strings attached.
