Last Spring, Ripple announced a new investment ecosystem called Xpring to build out XRP’s infrastructure and helps innovative projects grow through funding and partnerships.

The latest recipient of Xpring funding is Wietse Wind, the creator of the XRP Tip Bot, which allows Reddit, Discord and Twitter users to send small amounts of XRP to other users.

According to the announcement, Xpring will now support the development of the various products created through Wietse Wind’s XRPL Labs through capital and other resources, although the exact investment amount was not disclosed.

“We are thrilled to announce that Xpring has invested in Wietse Wind’s XRPL Labs. His creative approach, leadership and ability to engage developers were key differentiators in our decision to invest,” said Xpring director Vanessa Pestritto. “The funding will enable Wietse to dedicate more time and resources to his projects, which he will independently select.”

Wind joins several other individual entrepreneurs currently being supported by Xpring, including entertainment talent manager Scooter Braun and the co-founders of Blockchain Capital, who received a $25 million investment.
