SatoshiLabs, the creator of the Trezor Wallet, announced this week that it has added support for multiple major altcoins to its Trezor Model T.

According to the announcement, the Model T firmware now supports Monero (XMR), Cardano (ADA), Stellar (XLM), XRP, Tezos, Decred (DCR), Groestlcoin, Lisk, Zencash (ZEN) and the Zcash Sapling hardfork.

The new Trezor Model T firmware now supports all of these coins. Nothing now stands in the way of developers of the respective cryptocurrencies or other third-party developers to implement Trezor integrations with their wallets — and some of them already have.

This news comes several weeks after Trezor announced that it has added functionality that allows wallet owners to directly swap cryptocurrencies without needing to leave the app. Trezor wallets now support Changelly and ShapeShift protocols to facilitate instant cryptocurrency swaps between coins including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and other major blockchain-based tokens.
