On November 9, the total transactions conducted on the TRON network totaled 1.367 million, officially surpassing Ethereum’s previous record of 1.349 million transactions made on January 4, 2018, at the height of the crypto bull run.
TRON’s transaction growth is in part due to the rise of simple decentralized betting applications launching on the network. Both TronDice and TRONbet surpassed the 200 million TRX payout mark in under a month.
Additionally, TronPay, a chrome wallet extension for the TRON network, officially launched last week. Similar to MetaMask, TronPay allows users to easily send and receive TRX, with simple overlay integration when using dapps, further lowering the barrier to access the network.
TRX is currently down 1% on the day to $0.0228, giving the project a $1.49 billion market cap and making it the 11th largest coin in the AltDex 100 Index (ALT100), a benchmark index for large-cap cryptocurrencies and tokens.
