According to the brief announcement, the Tronman Knockout Tournament will run on February 9 and 10. Players will compete in a qualifier on the 9th and the top-32 players will battle it out for the prizes on the 10th. Tronman’s developers note that more information will be released shortly.

Tronman is connected with a TRON smart contract and features four different clans: Pirates, Samurais, Warrior Girls and Vikings. The gameplay requires TRX to play and each 1v1 match is winner-takes-all.

This news comes as multiple blockchain games are beginning to host their own competitive tournaments.

At the end of January, Axie Infinity, an Ethereum-based collectibles game that features PvP battles, ran its Winter Invitational, a multi-day tournament featured $2,530 in prizes.

More recently, CryptoWars, a blockchain-based strategy game that features army battles between villages, revealed that its second competitive tournament will take place on February 21 with $940 in total prizes.
