Twitch Partners With the Raiders to Bring Streaming and Esports to Vegas Stadium

Twitch, the live streaming video platform owned by¬†Amazon¬†(AMZN) subsidiary Twitch Interactive, has partnered with the Raiders organization to bring esports to the team’s new stadium in Las Vegas.

According to a recent announcement, Twitch is now a founding partner of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, which is slated to open in 2020. The partnership will bring a Twitch-branded lounge to the lower level of Allegiant Stadium, which will host streamer stations, Twitch viewing screens, esports competitions, and future Twitch events.

“At Twitch, we are constantly looking for new ways to engage with our community online and IRL. Being a founding partner at Allegiant Stadium is a perfect opportunity for Twitch to converge our passionate gaming and live esports community with the world of traditional sports,” said Twitch COO Sara Clemens. “As part of our long-term vision for multiplayer entertainment, we are excited to elevate the spectator experience at live events in the heart of the Entertainment Capital of the world.”

Marc Badain, the president of the Raiders, added, “The Twitch Lounge will elevate the spectator experience for Raiders fans in a brand new way ‚ÄĒ bridging the connection between fans in the stadium and at home unlike ever before.”
