Twitch streamers can now receive non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as donations from viewers via WAX ExpressTrade — a free, instant peer-to-peer trading service.

According to the announcement, Twitch users can now integrate Wax ExpressTrade URL overlays in order to receive real-time alerts that pop up directly in-stream whenever a viewer donates an item.

In addition to NFTs, users can send VGO skins and WAX Keys, which unlock special-edition items in loot crates across various blockchain games. The Wax ExpressTrade will even eventually support real world (IRL) items.

“Your audience can send items from their WAX ExpressTrade inventory to yours, instantly and for free, and you can then sell or instant-sell those items on OPSkins and cashout for real life money like cash or crypto,” reads the announcement.

The WAX blockchain supports the creation of unique game assets, similar to the ERC-721 tokens found on the Ethereum blockchain. These assets are designed to be used across games built on the WAX network, with one already active: The Forge Arena, a 5v5 competitive first-person shooter on PC.

WAX is currently trading for $0.084 with a $78.6 million market cap, making it the 73rd largest coin in the AltDex 100 Cryptocurrency Index (ALT100).
