According to the announcement, Voyager plans to leverage the new listing to gain a foothold in the European markets, as the company previously noted it aims to open up its retail trading platform to international investors in 2019.
“This listing is our first step into the European markets and we are excited to spread Voyager’s reach globally,” said Voyager CEO Stephen Ehrlich. “In the future, we look forward to bringing our fast and easy crypto trading platform to European retail and Institutional.”
This is another major announcement for Voyager, which just recently launched its zero-fee iOS trading app and completed a reverse takeover to list on the Toronto Venture Exchange under the symbol VYGR.V.
The access to additional capital will likely further fuel Voyager’s M&A activity, building off the previous $4 million acquisition of Ethos.io, the blockchain startup behind ETHOS and the Universal Wallet.
