Wanchain (WAN), a blockchain platform that connects and exchanges value between different blockchain ledgers, has partnered with Chainlink (LINK), a decentralized oracle network, to bring real-world data to Wanchain.

According to the announcement, the Chainlink integration into Wanchain will bring access to traditionally off-chain information, including APIs, payment gateways, or feeds of data and information. These oracles will eventually be deployed on the Wanchain network, allowing developers to gain access to otherwise unavailable data when developing interoperable decentralized applications (dapps).

“Integrating Chainlink into the Wanchain ecosystem is a critical and exciting step toward the global economic shift to digital financial transactions in everyday life,” said Jack Lu, Wanchain’s founder and CEO. “We are excited to provide Chainlink’s oracle network to developers on the Wanchain platform to begin building decentralized applications that can leverage real-world data from both the blockchain and traditional world.”

This news comes several months after Wanchain launched Wanchain 2.0, the first interoperable blockchain with secure multi-party computing and full interoperability with Ethereum (ETH).

LINK and WAN are currently ranked 41st and 63rd, respectively, in the AltDex 100 Index (ALT100), a benchmark index for large-cap cryptocurrencies and tokens.
