According to the game’s website, players can explore abandoned space stations, mysterious caverns and ruins across distant worlds, all while solving puzzles to advance in the game. When a player solves a puzzle, the rewards come in the form of crypto and can be anything from Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) to tokens from other blockchain-based games.
The game will include a premier crypto-puzzle which will be encoded with 20 bitcoins for the main reward. For our crypto-puzzles with high rewards, we publish proof which contains digital signatures to verify the prize exists as well as hashes to the solutions to ensure there’s no cheating on our behalf. You can find these in our Discord chat.
Age of Rust is building in the Enjin ecosystem, meaning that its in-game elements will join the Enjin Multiverse. The game’s token, Rustbits, are built on Enjin’s ERC-1155 token standard. This ultimately allows in-game assets to be owned and used across numerous games.
Interestingly, the new trailer highlights Neon District, an upcoming blockchain-based, multiplayer cyberpunk RPG, as an example of cross-over items and characters.
There is currently no timeframe for the release of Age of Rust on PC.
