The first trailer for Warner Bros. Picture’s Detective Pikachu has officially dropped, and fans are beginning to go wild.

First released on YouTube early Monday, the trailer went viral after Ryan Reynolds sent out a Tweet and Instagram post stating, “I think we all knew I’d wind up as a miniature detective repeatedly saying the same two words. Just didn’t think it would be this soon.”

The movie itself is based on the adventure game bearing the same name, which was developed by Creatures Inc., published by The Pokémon Company, and distributed by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS.

In the game, players work with a talking Pikachu to solve mysteries. This general theme looks to be conserved in the early shots released in the first trailer.
