The XRP Tip Bot, which allows Reddit, Discord and Twitter users to send small amounts of XRP to other users, could soon be available in the Amazon Alexa App Store thanks to a third-party developer.

Created by Twitter user Nixer using the API from the XRP Tip Bot created by Wietse Wind, the new application allows for verbal commands including balance checking and direct transaction initiation.

In a video posted to Nixer’s account, the developer simply said, “Send XRP to Tiffany Hayden,” a member of the XRP-community, and the app used a voice response to determine how much to send. After Nixer gave the amount, the app then asked for confirmation before sending the XRP and the transaction was verified directly by Wind.

The Alexa app is still pre-beta and would require Amazon approval to be added to the App Store.

To date, more than 74,000 tips have been sent via the XRP Tip Bot, totaling 93,077 XRP (~$50,000). As previously reported, the Tip Bot is now also available in the Google Play Store and Apple Store.

XRP is currently trading for $0.533, giving the altcoin a $21.44 billion market cap and making it the 3rd largest coin in the AltDex 100 Index (ALT100), a benchmark index for large-cap cryptocurrencies and tokens.
