On Tuesday, Redditor awsmbomb discovered a major win for crypto adoption — that Yelp (YELP) now allows users to filter businesses by whether or not they accept cryptocurrency.

However, it seems that the functionality is currently limited to the iOS application inside of the United States. Follow up posts indicated that filtering for crypto support is not yet available on desktop, Android or the UK mobile website.

Despite the current limitation, it’s important to note that Yelp’s averages around 33 million unique monthly mobile app users with more than 80% of all searches done on a mobile device.

This is another major development for the real-world use of crypto this week. As we recently reported, Brave Software, the company behind the Brave Browser and Basic Attention Token (BAT), revealed Wednesday that users can now opt-in to Brave Ads to receive 70% of the ad revenue as a reward for simply browsing the internet — however, the functionality is not yet available in the United States.

Additionally, Lolli continues to gain merchants for its Bitcoin (BTC) cash-back program, with a recent CBD and THC special on 4/20.
